Shikshantar School was established in the year 2007 with the objective of making a difference in the field of education. The school started working towards its goal from the day of its inception. In the second year of its running the school introduced an evening program for the underprivileged children living in the vicinity and this year in April 2008 it enrolled its first batch of 10 students, the current strength is 22.

The program is an initiative to bring difference to some of the lives, it does not aim at the kids just being literates but being educated so that in future they can support themselves.

 The children after finishing their grade X will be guided into professional courses depending on their inclinations.
